About Me Monday | Dublin, Ohio Photographer

About Me, Dublin Ohio Photographer

Back in January I wrote a blog post about getting a new job at Primrose School of Hilliard West. I want to take this opportunity today to write about what it’s like working there.

First of all, I really like my job. The babies are so sweet and the parent’s are all very kind. I really like the people I work with and I am so thankful for a positive work environment and a management team that really cares.

My normal schedule is 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. From one to three I relieve the main teachers in the older infant (12-18 months) classroom for their lunch breaks. When I first arrive, most of the babies have already fallen asleep for their nap but two little ones stay up a little later than the rest so my job is to entertain them until it’s their turn. Next, I clean the bibs from the morning and tidy up the room. I am often asked to help the teachers with curriculum projects for the coming weeks. Before I leave the classroom for the day, I help prepare the afternoon snack for when the children wake up.

From three to six I am in the middle infant classroom (6-12 months). When I walk in, the babies are typically finishing up snack and playing. At 3:30 we heat their bottles and feed them and do diapers as needed through out the afternoon. As parent’s arrive to pick up their children, I greet them and tell them about their baby’s day. At six o’clock after the last baby is picked up, I sanitize the room, close the blinds, turn off the CD player, empty the diaper genie and trash cash, refill the cleaner bottles, take the laundry to the laundry room and the dirty dishes to the kitchen, clean the bottle warmers, and turn off the lights.

Goodnight Primrose!
